How much does Mosquito Control Cost and What Can I Expect?

Although tiny in size, mosquitoes can be a big nuisance. In fact, it’s fair to say that they can really suck the life out of your fun outside! Nobody feels like constantly swatting at pests and getting itchy, painful bites.

Plus, mosquitoes can carry dangerous diseases like West Nile and Zika. The last thing that you should ever have to worry about is getting bit by a disease-carrying pest in your own backyard!

For these reasons, you might be exploring the option of mosquito control but you’re wondering what you can expect. You don’t want to pay a fortune for a mosquito yard treatment.

In this article, we’ll explore the cost of mosquito control so that you can have a better idea of what you can expect to pay along with what’s included.

What is the Mosquito Service Cost?

You want to know how much is a mosquito treatment. Every company is going to price their mosquito services differently but we can speak about the cost of Limbwalker’s services.

At Limbwalker, we actually divide our mosquito control services into three different programs that will fit your needs.

Here are the details on the cost of mosquito control and also what’s included in each program.

  • Mosquito Silver: Starting at $59 per visit, this is our standard protective treatment program with applications from April through September. It includes 8 visits throughout that time period.
  • Mosquito Gold: Starting at $69 per visit, this is our most popular program. It also includes treatments from April through September but also includes inspections, pond treatments, and service calls as needed.
  • Mosquito Platinum: Starting at $79 per visit, this is a comprehensive package that also includes treatment for fleas and ticks (which are other dangerous pests you really don’t want on your property). This program also has a ninth visit included that protects you through October.

These prices are based on a typical, half-acre property.

What Can I Expect by Investing in Mosquito Yard Treatments?

If you’re going to pay for mosquito control, you probably want to better understand what you’re getting for that investment.

At Limbwalker, we take the utmost care to ensure you’re getting maximum value out of your investment. We only got involved in offering mosquito yard treatments because we realized how much these pests were preventing Louisville homeowners from enjoying time outside.

Since one of our goals is to help people spend (and enjoy) more time outdoors, offering mosquito control made a ton of sense.

We offer safe treatments and products that help deliver peace of mind. For example, we are committed to minimizing spray by targeting areas where mosquitoes live and breed. Whereas some companies perform blanket applications (because it’s faster and easier), we are taking the time to walk through your property and specifically target the mosquito hang-out zones.

We are also committed to protecting pollinators by taking an eco-friendlier approach to our applications.

Because we want you to see the most possible success, we’ll also make recommendations for your specific property that will help reduce your mosquito problem.

Getting rid of areas of standing water can drastically help reduce mosquito breeding so we can help point out these spots and make recommendations about what you can do.

It’s important to us that you get the most possible value out of your mosquito yard treatments so that you know your family is protected. At the end of the day, what you’re really getting is peace of mind…and as far as cost goes, most people find that invaluable.

Will a DIY Approach Help Save on the Cost of Mosquito Control?

Sometimes homeowners think that choosing a DIY approach will help save them money. But the biggest point of consideration is that DIY control is simply not as effective.

Store-bought mosquito control products are not going to be able to stand up to what commercial-grade products can do. Plus, a trained technician will know exactly how and where to apply products so that you are getting the best results.

Since, as we mentioned above, what you really want is peace of mind, it’s probably not worth taking a subpar approach just to try and save a few dollars. You’ll still need to buy mosquito control products and equipment and you’re probably not going to be happy with how poorly they work.

We find that most people would rather spend a little bit more for professional results….particularly when it comes to the health and safety of their family.
